Since I'm doing the runner's series, I figured I'd try to book a room for next October since I know I'll be there. Wow, it was easy. Got one relatively close to the finish line, I'm happy, hopefully the hotel doesn't suck, or lose my reservation.

Brian, I am also signed up for the Runners Series. I decided to get serious about making a reservation but every place I have tried is booked. Hampton, Courtyard, Hilton Garden. (I stayed at the Hilton Garden this year and it was good)
Can I ask where you found a room?

Thanks
TJ

I found one at Sun Time Inn. Just a couple blocks from the finish line.

Brian/TJ,

I looked at booking the Sun Time Inn for 2009 because of its proximity to the finish. However I booked elsewhere after reading the numerous negative reviews on Tripadvisor.com.

Do yourself a favor and check out the Seven Wives Inn: www.sevenwivesinn.com. They seem to have several rooms available for 2010 and I can highly recommend it. We stayed there from Thursday to Sunday morning. It's a little further off, about 1 mile away, but the breakfasts and inn hosts are amazing.

Good luck!
Derek.

Wow, after reading all the reviews about Sun Time Inn, I dropped that reservation and got one at Super 8. Don't know if that's an upgrade, but it has better reviews.
